Good journalism takes dedication and digging. It requires long hours, hard work and passion. And it takes money. As our mission has grown at Eugene Weekly, and with the ongoing social, political and economic stresses, we are asking for your help.
Corporate giants have taken over traditional news outlets here and elsewhere around the country. That means independent, locally owned newspapers such as Eugene Weekly have assumed a much larger role as a watchdog for democracy.
We are a free paper, and we don’t have a paywall on our website. EW relies on our small-but-mighty staff, but we also feature the work of many of Lane County’s best freelancers and student journalists. We don’t want to go away, but we could use your help.
